When I got this from Sam, he could not remember what it was. it has stayed like this for about a year, hasn't gotten much bigger, but is also hasn't gotten smaller. Not sure what it is. I have placed it in different parts of my tank and it has never changed. If someone can tell from the pics what it is and has an idea on placement in the tank, pls let me know.

Corallite structure looks like it could be Mike Henley's (OUsnakebite) blue formosa. It looks very similar to my frag at least.

any special needs. I have it high in the tank, in good flow. should I lower it and less flow?

Don't worry - it will eventually just STN and die...

Okay - maybe not; but I had one coral (Chips Acro) that never grew - 2 years later, it STN'd and died - still the same size it was a month after I got it. Stupid corals!!

I actually recommend you frag it. Maybe the frag will grow.

Ok. I will cut a few pieces off and see what happens...

If it makes you feel any better, it definitely looks bigger than I remember, and it wasn't encrusted at all when I gave it to you :).

that makes me feel a little better. so in another year, it will grow a few more inches...

time to cut a few pieces off and see if it spurs some growth.
