My calcium reactor was not working properly for a few days. There was no water coming out of the outlet tube even I open the water valve all the way up. I decided to find out what was going on this past weekend. I think the outlet tube was clogged. I ran the air hose from the air compress in the garage all the way to the reactor. I forced the air in use a blow gun thinking it is going to clear the clog. :)

The air pressure blew the lid complete off. The calcium media scattered everywhere. :) Try not to do what I did. :)

It is a MRC. The plastic screws are still good. It is the flange on top of the cylinder body that the lid connects to.

 Wowo, MRC's are typically bullet proof?

Give the GEO reactor a try. Built like a tank...sort of ;)

GSA makes a nice one also. Check with Dan (Dandy7200).

I'm not sure Dan is making those anymore. But you may be able to talk him into cutting you a new lid on his fancy CNC machine :)

Trying to imagine the look on your face when that thing blew..

I was stunned and speechless for a about half a minutes before I realized what had done. :)
