SeanCallan June 2, 2009 June 2, 2009 During my move from Old Town Alexandria to Herndon I managed to have a tank crash almost immediately after arrival despite taking every precaution possible. While I should be livid I'm not. I'm going to take this as an opportunity to redo the tank differently. I'm ordering a new skimmer and I'm looking at possibly using t5s instead of a MH to light the tank. First real crash I've ever had and it's definitely disappointing :|
SeanCallan June 2, 2009 Author June 2, 2009 Sean, Sorry to hear that. Do you know what happened? Jon I don't know for certain but my guess is that something(s) may have kicked the bucket during the move and because the water volume was significantly reduced to make it transportable it contributed to the problem being amplified and then a chain reaction followed
Coral Hind June 2, 2009 June 2, 2009 If you had a sand bed greater then an inch it might have released some stored stuff back into the water when the tank was moved. This is normally what causes a tank crash during a move.
