lanman April 11, 2009 Share April 11, 2009 I turned the actinics on early this morning because I had a visitor coming. I have never before seen the 'tip' polyps of my acropora nana extended. For a moment, I thought OMG - it's dying!! Then I ran and got the camera. Within a minute, they were all retracted. bob

Dell2go April 11, 2009 Share April 11, 2009 Most of the corals do that for most of the night. I look at them every night after mid-night w/ flash light. That's mean they are happy.

What makes this odd - is that the nana has NO extension of the polyps on the tips during lighted hours. bob
reefmontalvo April 14, 2009 Share April 14, 2009 I often spend a few minutes in the middle of the might looking for things like this. Its cool seeing what looks to be solid is actually pretty fleshy.
