zoozilla March 24, 2009 Share March 24, 2009 Very nice. Other than Kalkwasser, are you dosing anything else?
SkiCurtis March 24, 2009 Author Share March 24, 2009 Yes I do dose. bulk reef supply 2 part(really 3 part) recipe 1 . It does get on my nerves dosing everyday, but I will upgrade the litre meter with the other 2 pumps and it will automatically dose for me. I have not decided to go to the calcium reactor route.( to do it the way I would want with a controller and all good stuff and will set me back $1,000. so I need to save. Valeria March 28, 2009 Share March 28, 2009 (edited) Curtis- Awesome tank Remind me.... Are you using metal halides? Edited March 28, 2009 by Valeria
SkiCurtis March 28, 2009 Author Share March 28, 2009 no MH I wanted to go with them,I miss the shimmer. I'm using 2 4' 130watt powercompacts. they have 4 bulbs each. I want to up grade down the road. but I need to drill a hole in my foundation and run a vent and have a set up just like BRK used to have. but you can grow SPS with them. you just have to jack them up top. ctenophore March 28, 2009 Share March 28, 2009 Great tank! Proof that power compacts can grow a nice reef. Well done!
