L8 2 RISE January 29, 2009 January 29, 2009 Scary thought, I think I'll be a little more careful with my corals now . http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11...theme-park.html A father-of-two died after suffering a freak reaction to stubbing his toe on a piece of living coral while on holiday in Florida.
extreme_tooth_decay January 29, 2009 January 29, 2009 ummm has this ever happened to an aquarist? I usually keep my feet out of my tank
Brian Ward January 29, 2009 January 29, 2009 ummm has this ever happened to an aquarist? I believe so. Zoas contain a deadly neurotoxin, venom from the various fish can be bad, most corals are toxic in some way. I think it depends on just how badly it gets you and how your body reacts.
Smoothtriqueter January 29, 2009 January 29, 2009 been to discovery cove. Don't recall much "live" coral but I'm sure there was some with the number of parrot fish they had. I'm guessing he stubbed his toe early and swam around all day. I never left the water, except to get the free (included nothing is free) beer. I was in the water for 8-9 hrs if i had any cut it would have become gangrenous.
Almon January 30, 2009 January 30, 2009 An inquest heard that Mr Clarke, an insurance clerk from Sale in Greater Manchester, suffered from haemophilia but his condition was under control and he lived a normal life. Apparently he was "Sensitive".
