Steve G January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 my flame angel died and my tang has ick. what a horrible day Sorry for your loss, bro. It's never easy flushing a pet, or watching one suffer.

Sugar Magnolia January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 Do you have a QT set up to treat the tang? Sorry about the loss. :(

Brian Ward January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 well if my tang dies there goes the first $100 If the treatment is reef safe, then it isn't very strong and will only work for very mild cases of ich. Make sure you watch the tang and if he isn't getting better, move to a QT where you can treat with at least hypo if not copper as well.
Black Mammoth January 14, 2009 January 14, 2009 Are you sure it is ich and not something like velvet?
dcreefer January 14, 2009 January 14, 2009 Do you have a UV sterilizer? If you don't have one, I would invest in one twice the capacity of my tank. In my experience, once you have ich in your reef it may lay dormant for a while them come back twice as bad. Ich comes in Cycles and the best way to get rid of it and keep it gone is with some good ol fashion UV!
Amuze January 14, 2009 January 14, 2009 Hope you're not about to use that Kick Ich garbage. Sucks about the fish loss.
treesprite January 14, 2009 January 14, 2009 Sorry about the fish loss and illness. I just finished going through a similar situation with 3 fish dead.
