AQUACO December 31, 2008 December 31, 2008 In this tangled mixed up world of WAMAS it is good to see that some people are truly happy with their purchases... That coral is amazing!!!! Rick, that canary was very sought after this weekend. More on the way! Thanks, Chip
kholla12 December 31, 2008 December 31, 2008 Those are sweet.Let us know how the carrny does.I have read the dont do good in captivity.
lanman January 1, 2009 January 1, 2009 Feed that sun coral frequently! You're aware that if you make it really happy - it will spawn, and you will get little sun corals growing here and there in your tank? I can't feed mine right because of my high nitrtates - but I feed it enough to keep it healthy. bob
L8 2 RISE January 1, 2009 January 1, 2009 (edited) I think I feed it right... I feed my tank once a day, and since I got my sun coral, I use one of those little blocks of frozen food each time, the majority of the food goes to the sun coral, the rest goes to the fish.... When I feed it I use a turkey baster and try and get some food in each of the polyps (heads?, what are they called?). Is this right? I change up the food everynight between marine cuisine, plain mysis, and then angel and butterfly food which is basically just a carnivore mix. I didn't know that they would spawn, but that sounds really cool. Edited January 1, 2009 by L8 2 RISE
Amuze January 1, 2009 January 1, 2009 That piece looks great L8. I feel bad now because I haven't fed mine in quite some time. I think it actually shrunk some. Lol. Placed it where it's easier for me to get to now so hopefully it makes a comeback.
Amuze January 1, 2009 January 1, 2009 I used to have a canary fang blenny. It was one of my first fish and favorite too. He used to hover over nass. snails when they'd come up from the sand, cock his head sideways and nail 'em. Never killed the snails, just flipped them over. Loved watching that. He disappeared one day and I never saw it again.
reefchick January 1, 2009 January 1, 2009 The sun coral is my favorite - and thats an beautiful colony. Congrats!
