Sorry maybe I missed something but, why not turn it on its side and walk it through the door?

It's supposed to be able to be moved from one class to the next while full, which poses a problem for tipping it on its side!

 

I'm hoping that when I chop the sides off it doesn't ruin the look of it and take away too much table space for the kids to lean on.

The tank looks like it is really coming along well. It looks amazing. I hope you can figure out something with the doors.

Measure twice cut once. Bummer about the doors. That is going to be such an awesome addition to the school!

I'm resurrecting this thread as this should be in school at the beginning of January! After taking it back home it got hacked up a bit but I'll be working on getting it smoothed out and router the edges that were cut off so that it can be nice and smooth for the kids! Look for this to be in school in the Kindergarten classes come January 4 (hopefully!). If you would like to help over winter break, let me know as I'll be finishing off the table at night in my new workshop in the basement!
