jason the filter freak October 26, 2008 October 26, 2008 I recently acquired a skimmer than used an ocean runner needle wheel assembly. When I recieved it a "leg" or two was missing from the impeller assembly and while inspecting it I dropped it and a few more arms broke off . Didn't realize they were that brittle. Now of course since the impeller isn't balanced the pump won't run. I have a few more impellers (just the black plastic part with the arms) I've got to think there must be a way to switch just the black plastic pieces with out having to buy a whole new assembly. Any one have any help for me?
jamesbuf October 26, 2008 October 26, 2008 http://www.dtpetsupplies.com/catalog/Prote...mmer-Impellers/ I would also try balancing out your impeller by removing the opposite pieces on the impeller, then try doing a meshmod on the impeller. What do you have to lose?

Origami October 26, 2008 October 26, 2008 (edited) Jason, if it's one of the pumps used in Aquamedic's skimmers (OR1700, OR2700, or OR3700 - http://www.aqua-medic.com/ocean_runner_skimmer.shtml), then give Aqua Medic in Colorado a call at 877.208.2633. When I had a ceramic shaft break on my pump, I also bought a spare impeller. It was priced lower than I was able to get at other sites, too. Edited October 26, 2008 by Origami2547
