zygote2k October 21, 2008 Share October 21, 2008 appears to be a juvenile snail. hard to say if good or bad till they grow bigger or you get a positive id.
Rascal October 21, 2008 Share October 21, 2008 Looks like Stomatella varia to me. A good snail that will graze on algae and easily reproduce to sustainable levels in your reef.
L8 2 RISE October 21, 2008 Share October 21, 2008 Definetly stomella snail, these things are awesome, will breed a lot, and eat a lot of algae. They can also fit into the tighter spaces with algae, so just another plus.
lancer99 October 21, 2008 Share October 21, 2008 The one on the right looks like a Stomatella snail....they will reproduce in your tank and are great additions to your CuC. On left is an Asterina starfish. Most of them are harmless, but there have been reports that blue/brown one will munch on corals. -R

pretej October 21, 2008 Author Share October 21, 2008 i have a whole bunch in my tank... Thanks for all the help. This makes feel much better. I was afraid I had some alien organism that was going to eat everything in the tank and then possibly migrate to the cats! Thanks
