increasing water volume today with new sump... advice?!

I'm gonna spend the better part of today re-plumbing my new 55g sump into my tank. The increased water volume is about 25g's. Is there any strategy for increasing the volume of the water safely? I'll check the ph, temp and salinity... but what about anything else? does it matter much?

Use a small pump or siphon to add water slowly.

It's just like a largish water change except that no old water is being removed, so you should be able to just go all at once.

You will be fine. Just make sure the PH and Temp look good
