mling September 21, 2008 Share September 21, 2008 I was at Bethany Beach and saw alot of these creatures washed ashore after the last storm. Anyone has a clue what it is ? I've been at this beach for 11 years and have never seen anything like this wash ashore before. This is what I think is the top of it This is the bottom ? They range in size from a size of a quater to about 2" in diameter. The green tenticles are very fragile.

mling September 22, 2008 Author Share September 22, 2008 Put one in a bucket of seawater and see if it acts like a jellyfish. They were all dead or almost dead, touch them are they would break apart. This morning, they were all gone.

Coral Hind September 22, 2008 Share September 22, 2008 It looks like some kind of anemone to me. I have seen anemones in the bay that were that color before. How thick or tall was it?
