jason the filter freak September 1, 2008 Author Share September 1, 2008 working on the rock rack now if he'd ever answer his phone maybe I'd be able to get some scaping done. In the mean time I've started on the rack for the rock and actually aquired the rock (Hoping it's enough)

jason the filter freak November 11, 2008 Author Share November 11, 2008 Sooooo so I decided that I'd thought I'd stop by and "CHECK UP" on the charity tank build. we replaced the 4 x 40 watt (48") NO bulbs with 4 x 39 watt (36") bulbs, there is some shadow left and right but I think it's a better lighting choice, and fit his budget Actinics by Hagen GLO 10,000k, and 18,000k Blulbs by Hagen GLO There are three damsels, a hermit, some stomatella, kenya tree, and a mushroom all doing well
Smoothtriqueter November 11, 2008 Share November 11, 2008 This is the first I have gotten a chance to see this thread. You did a great job on such a small budget. Looks like you had some good help as well. Hope it all works out well down the line! Keep up the good work

jason the filter freak October 28, 2009 Author Share October 28, 2009 I took some pictures and I will post them soon. He has completed his radiology tech program and as of today landed a job at Washington Hospital Center. So to celebrate I traded and sold some equipment I had lying about and got him a very nice 40 cube tank. We're going to sell the 55 and use the money to buy equipment for the 40 cube. Now that he has an actual job he will be able to spend some money on the tank and should have some more time to spend on it. He's gotten a lot better in maintaining the tank and has not lost any of the fish we bought save a dawrf lion that only lasted 2 days(not his fault). Of course since I'm helping with the 40 there will be some mods and custom build aspects to the tank but we're going to go mainly stock and un-ghetto on the equipment to allow for easier maint and replacement if something should break.
