Sikryd July 15, 2008 July 15, 2008 Does anybody know if there is software out there to keep a journal of your reef? I would like to be able to input my testing #'s, day added new bulbs, day added different corals/fish, a place to keep track of the different types of corals in the tank, ect. The old fashined way, or using word/excel just doesn't appeal to me. NOR does making my own database! I have enough computer stuff going on without having to write code for a hobby....

I believe the AquaNotes software does all of this as well as linking with your AquaController to record data.
NightOwl July 15, 2008 July 15, 2008 (edited) Sikryd, AquaNotes will probably do what you are looking for and then some if you have or plan on getting a Neptune contrller. You can hook up the controller to your tank and it will monitor/store the data for such as ORP, PH, Calcium levels etc. Aquanotes lite is the free version...still a bit buggy but will probably work for you as well. If you buy the full version there are all kinds of graphs that you can create. Edited July 15, 2008 by NightOwl
MisterTang July 15, 2008 July 15, 2008 (edited) Considering the skills in this area, some of us WAMAS techy folks should write one. C#, anyone ? Edited July 15, 2008 by MisterTang
civitan.erichanson July 15, 2008 July 15, 2008 I am running Aqualog which is adequate for tracking common parameters and commenting. Tracks SW changes and bulb replacement also. - Eric
Sikryd July 15, 2008 Author July 15, 2008 Thanks for the help guys. I think Brian cleared me up and talked me into the ACIII with the software. Either way that is where I would end up wanting to go in the long run. I just don't like the cost associated! $477 + $75 for the software. Oh well. I quess I will have to sell some stuff and save up! It does everything that I wanted to be able to do and more. I like the idea of having a full computer setup so I can track my corals, temp, ect. see grow, have everything "at my finger tips". And it has to be the ACIII because I REALLY like the network setup. I wonder if it will connect to my TV! That means I might just have to add fish/coral cam to my website.
CHUBAKAH July 16, 2008 July 16, 2008 Aquanotes Lite is a free download. Got a link? Couldn't find the lite you speak of.
