I know there is a really good one sold by BRK and I think the author is "Veron" but can't seem to find it on Amazon. would you happen to know which one I'm speaking of?

The gold standard of coral ID books; yes, I highly recommend. We have the 3 volume set at work, and they are my main reference materials. In addition to ID, Veron takes you through the history and evolution of reefs and also about his improvement on Darwinian evolution, Reticulate Evolution.

There is also an accompanying CD found here - AIMS

However, these materials only discuss the Scleractinians. For gorgonians, zoanthids, other octocorals, etc., you'll need to look elsewhere.

Happy reading and ID'ing!!!

Cheers

Mike

Better yet, click on the "New and used" link on Amazon and someone in England has the book listed used for $361.12 + shipping!

holy cow thats an expensive book...

Found it a bit cheaper... $129.99

Plus $10.00 shipping & handling. There are three books included in this price which comes out to about $46.67/book. That's not a bad price. This volume is definitely in my wish list. :)
