Freezerburn June 26, 2008 June 26, 2008 (edited) Block a burn nuke a reef? Go this one from digg.com, talks about how sunblock might need to stay out of the tank. Some chemical ingredients can effect zooxanthellae. I guess long as you don't touch the water with the sun tan lotion on things should be fine. on a side note does that tang look like it needs food or am I wrong? Edited June 26, 2008 by Freezerburn
treesprite June 26, 2008 June 26, 2008 Didn't someone already post about this? I don't think most tropical beach-goers are going to care enough to risk burns.
Hilary June 30, 2008 June 30, 2008 (edited) I'm careful not to have any lotion - hand lotion or sun block - on my skin when I need to put my hands in my tank. As a result I always seem to have dry, sunburned hands! Edited June 30, 2008 by Hilary
gmubeach June 30, 2008 June 30, 2008 Skin cancer or a few dead corals:) I choose the second, but for what its worth I don't go in my tank unless my hands are lotion free for a day!
OUsnakebyte June 30, 2008 June 30, 2008 Didn't someone already post about this? Yup, here: http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21414 I don't think most tropical beach-goers are going to care enough to risk burns. Probably not, but those "in the know" will care enough to use biodegradable sun screen. A quick google search yields these first three results: Result 1 Result 2 Result 3 Cheers Mike
