Larry Grenier January 18, 2008 January 18, 2008 (edited) 3' X 2' X 2'. Reef Ready. Approximately 90 gallons. I believe Glass Cages has one but I'm not sure about these guys. I believe HowardOfNOVA has a nice acrylic custom one but I don't know if NAGA would be interested. Any other sources. Any comments on Glass Cages? Thanx Edited January 18, 2008 by Larry Grenier
jamesbuf January 18, 2008 January 18, 2008 I know many more people that have been happy and had great experiences with there tanks than people who have had bad experiences. You gotta remember that for every one person who has had a bad experience, there are dozens, if not hundreds, who have had no problems whatsoever. For that size tank, I personally would be willing to go through them. Its when you don't get a guarantee on the larger, more expensive tanks that I start to worry. Horrible customer service tradeoff for a less expensive tank. Just make sure to look the tank over before signing on pickup. Thats what I've heard anyways.

I must disagree on the ratio of good to bad experiences with them. I lived about an hour from them before moving here (they're out of Nashville, TN), and even the locals were hesitant to get a tank from them. If that's not an indicator of past performance, I don't know what is.
steveoutlaw January 18, 2008 January 18, 2008 I was looking for a tank that size as well........and I changed the size instead of going with glass cages. They are rude as H-E-double hocky sticks and once they sell you the tank.......it's your fault if anything happens. I know a hobbiest who have filled the tank once they got it, found a leak, and glasscages said it was his fault because his stand must not be level. Long story longer.......he was stuck with it because they wouldn't take it back. Bottom line, there may be more people that have a good experience with them than not.......but the odds aren't favorable enough for me.
ReeferMan January 18, 2008 January 18, 2008 For about the same price once you factor in delivery charge, drilling and customizing charges the price are equal to NAGA's Acrylic tanks. I was looking for the same size tank and have done the research. NAGA is the man for the job hands down. I have a glasscages tank and even though I like it and the price. I will get my next tank from him. He will work with you and make sure your happy with the results. He has alot of experience with different setups and can even recommend some customizations. I have seen his work and got to say its better than glasscages.
Larry Grenier January 18, 2008 Author January 18, 2008 (edited) Thanks folks. I contacted GC a while back and asked a few questions and yes, they were rude. I've heard good and bad as-well. Kinda scarry. Actually, I've been trying to contact NAGA to no avail. I am experienced with acrylic so that's not an issue. Edited January 18, 2008 by Larry Grenier
VicSkimmr January 18, 2008 January 18, 2008 I would go through Jeff, he's local and his tanks are of a much higher caliber than glass cages. P.S. I like the dimensions you're thinking about (mine is a 36x24x20 from NAGA)
Larry Grenier January 20, 2008 Author January 20, 2008 Anyone else? Any other source of that size tank; acrylic or glass? I can't seem to get ahold of NAGA by phone or PM. Thanks

dschflier January 21, 2008 January 21, 2008 I agree with using Jeff if you can get a hold of him. If you can be patient with him and he is willing to do it I think it would be well worth your wait.
Larry Grenier January 21, 2008 Author January 21, 2008 Sara, by unique I just meant 3' X 2' X 2' rather than the common 4' X 18" X 2'. Steve, I will look into that. dschflier, I hope to hear from Jeff. Thanks folks

I came across there web site before and now I see Dan purchased one from them. Give Dan a call and go see his tank, first hand inspection. If glass is what you want that may be the way to go. What about contacting say Oceanic, don't know if they do custom but it is worth a try.
