lanman January 11, 2008 January 11, 2008 I purchased some rock that had been sitting in rubbermaid tubs of tank water for about 6 months - with no agitation, and no heat - in a finished basement, so probably between 65-70 degrees most of the time. In total darkness of course. I ran it in a tank of 78 degree saltwater with good flow for a couple weeks, and put a piece in my new tank the other night. Guess what survived all of that? Tubeworms! Several of the small tubeworms started popping out after about 24 hours under the lights. Pretty tough little buggers! bob
Larry Grenier January 11, 2008 January 11, 2008 Is tubeworm bad to have? They're kinda neat little filter feeders. Cousins to the big georgeous Hawaiian feather dusters you see for sale.
