spitz3 December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 (edited) Hello, I'm moving out of state and won't be able to move my tank with me, so need to find homes for fish/inverts/live rock/tank. I'm looking for some advice on how to best find homes for everything. Is it best to try to sell everything as a package or individually? It's most critical to sell the livestock, as I can have the tank and other hardware moved and put into storage if needed. The tank is a 144-gallon Oceanic half-cirlce (reef-ready) with stand and canopy (pics below). I'm willing to sell everything at well below what retail and e-tail prices are for the livestock, but figure I could probably do better than the wholesale value store credit that the local stores have offered. Contents of the tank are: 1 Blue Hippo Tang (large, 6") 1 Naso Tang (large, 6") 1 Yellow Tang (large, 5") 1 Coral Beauty Angel (3") 1 cleaner wrasse (3") 1 6-line wrasse (2") 3 blue/green reef chromis (3") 1 falco hawkfish (3") 2 false percula clownfish, tank-bred (2") 1 purple stripe pseudochromis (2-3") 1 green mandarin (2") 3 large hermit crabs (2-3") 2 burgundy sea stars Several assorted brittle stars Assorted dwarf hermit crabs Assorted snails 1 rose-tip anemone (about 3" across at base) Green fluorescent mushrooms (medium) Large rock with red mushrooms, brown button polyps, and small colt coral Several rocks with brown button polyps (Large to small) Zoanthid (green, medium) Finger Leather coral (large) Finger Leather (small) Colt Coral (medium) Symphyllia spp (large) Thanks for any advice in advance, Mike Edited December 17, 2007 by spitz3
treesprite December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 It's hard to sell a whole system. If you part out (sell things individually) you will probably sell relatively quickly. Since you are "going out of the hobby" you can do your sale on this board, you just have to put specific prices and pickup location, and be prepared for a lot of private messages.
