yauger June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 does anyone on here run 20 k radiums and would allow me to see it that would be great I just put XM 20K DE HQI bulb in my 150WATT fixture and it is blue I mean real blue. Again I'm waiting to see if the color will change anymore but it looks as if the coloration I have is the final color. This is assuming the burn in time isn't more than 2 weeks. If you want I can send you some pictures of my tank later today but I dont think the camera really captures the color all too well. let me know.

FWIW 20K Radiums are considered dead @ 6mo. Please use them to see the color and nothing more.

Rik, I, too have the 20K Radium and like it very much; however, if lifespan is only 6 months then it's way.... expensive. I can't afford to replace to a whole new T5 lighting set and like the blueish color. Would you be able to help recommending another longer lasting bulb with also 20K? Thanks, KLee
Leishman June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 is that the case for 20k xm's as well? yea i heard that about the radiums XMs are good for 12 mo IMO. I run mine 6 hours a day and toss 'em @ 12 mo. I'd think tey would be good for 10 hr/day for 12 mo
kngfisher June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 FWIW 20K Radiums are considered dead @ 6mo. where are you getting your information? Is there a site that gives the life expectancy of other bulbs? sanjay ? (http://www.reeflightinginfo.arvixe.com/index.htm)
