pods

Hey all-

 

Just looking for advice here, but would people say floridapets.com is the best site for getting diverse pod populations? The ones in the bottles are the same 2 species and they're super expensive, and floridapets was a good experience when I was setting up my 29 gallon a few years ago.

 

Any thoughts?

IMHO the best way is to make nice with another member and get some macro. I've got loads of all 3 of the "major pod groups" in either the fuge on my 150 or my 180... as do most members.

 

Anyone with a fuge will be happy to trade macro for a frag of something they don't have or even give it away if you are nice.

I concur with Grav. Most people on here that have some macro will have loads of pods in it. Just get some macro and you should be good. I have purchased the bottles before and there are no where as many as they advertise in the bottle. I even emailed one company and their excuse was they ship them out under full and in transit they are supposed to multiply so the number is only an approximation...lol. If you are out near Ashburn I could give you some...just saw you were out in DC.

Shoot me a PM. I have tons of pods in my macro algae and can harvest some for you. Only caveat is, it will be at least a week and a half before I can do it (in the middle of finals right now).
