dbartco April 29, 2007 April 29, 2007 You may want to spend as much time researching resizing pics as much as researching that new camera! Great time, thanks to all that came. Was it really Byron's last day?

johnnybv April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 Holy crap I need to start going back the the gym. Going BACK to the Gym???
steveoutlaw April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 Going BACK to the Gym??? Well, he does drive by a gym on the way home!!
Armson April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 Going BACK to the Gym??? No one really remembers me from 3 years ago when I use to be thin as H-E-double hocky sticks. (yeah Yeah I know fat people are always telling you how they use to be skinny) This gives me a great idea.......... I am willing to wager that no one in this club can loose more weight than I can in the next 3 months. Would any one be interested in making this wager with me?
Armson April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 I'll take you up on that, if you go % of weight! Of course I am going to do it by percentage. but it seems everybody is still a little reluctant to play so allow me to make this interesting. lets say it's $10 to join the contest. (goes to wamas) The person with the highest percentage of body fat loss wins a Deltec Skimmer (Mce300,600 or ap600) or calcium reactor (501, 601) and $200 in livestock from brk. Of course other rules will apply and I am just trying to gage interest. but that would be about what I am willing to offer. So once again if I bet Deltec skimmer or calcium reactor $200 dollars in livestock from BRK That I can loose a higher percentage of body fat than anyone that challenges me. How many people would take that challenge? Byron

madmax7774 April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 (edited) Well duh, as the fattest guy in the club, I would be interested.... We have a very accurate scale here at work, that goes up to 400 lbs, and is supposedly accurate to within .1 lbs. It is used for weighing outgoing shipments. I just weighed myself on it, and I come in at a whopping 320.5 lbs. With relative ease, I could get back down to my average weight of about 280 lbs. That means a % weight loss of 12.5 percent. Think you can beat that? questions: 1 - what scale is going to be used? 2 - how exactly will things be calculated? 3 - Does Johnny know you are giving more of his stuff away 4 - when does the contest start? Just trying to decide whether to jump in, because I want to get rid of a few extra lbs, could use the loot, but don't want to go skeletal. If I go from 15% down to 10%, is that considered a loss of 33% of my total fat, or a meager 5% loss.

Armson April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 Ok here are a few notes The highest weight loss isn't actually going to win. If someone ways 300 pounds and has a body fat percentage of 20% and they shrink that to 10% they would have a 50% loss. It doesn't really matter what they weigh. if someone weighs 200 pounds has body fat percentage of 20% and shrinks it too 5% they are going to have a 75% loss so they would win. So skinny people can play too. it makes really no difference what you weigh. It's how much body fat you loose. It's taylored to you so the playing field is level. So how many takers? -Byron DUDE, YOU ARE SOOOO FIRED! YOU HAD BETTER NOT LOSE! Don't worry boss I am going to rope you into this too. -Byron
madmax7774 April 30, 2007 April 30, 2007 so short of having a medical facility with a submersion tank that can be used to calculate exact body fat percentage, how exactly do you propose to accurately determine body fat precentage for each participant?

John, Seriously you don't want any of this. You know I am going to whoop everyone's behind in this. I figured you would be smarter than to try and challenge me. Just sit back and watch all the other pathetic attempts to beat me at this game. oh yeah and by the way Talking smack is extremely encourged. :-)
