jamesbuf March 11, 2007 March 11, 2007 I've had this colony of zoos for over a year now. I though the colony was getting too much ligtht, so I put it in a shaded area. The zoas retracted a bit and now there is a random new bright yellow and orange zoa that has appeared and is growing. Anybody know if this zoa has a name to it? Check this out:
jamesbuf March 12, 2007 Author March 12, 2007 I still can't believe it just appeared out of nowhere, after a year or so of having the colony. What would be the best way to isolate it and grow just that one colorful zoa? It seems to be entangled with the other non-so colorful zoas.
ReeferMan March 12, 2007 March 12, 2007 I WOULD LEAVE IT BECAUSE THE CHANCE OF REMOVING IT AND GLUEING IT DOWN GOOD ENOUGH WERE IT WONT FLOAT AWAY WILL BE VERY HARD.
jamesbuf March 12, 2007 Author March 12, 2007 (edited) I was considering sacrificing the not-so-colorful zoas directly adjacent it to afford it some extra growing room. Any suggestions? Edited March 12, 2007 by jamesbuf
Sugar Magnolia March 12, 2007 March 12, 2007 (edited) Very pretty! Looks like mine: You could take a chisel and hammer and carefully break the rock...better yet, a dremel. Edited March 12, 2007 by Sugar Magnolia
Black Mammoth March 12, 2007 March 12, 2007 Eagle eyes. Watermelons are red I must have miss understood my LFS. I have some just like that pic. Is there a designer name for "Eagle Eyes." I thought "Eagle Eyes" was the designer name and they went by watermelons if they were sold under the designer name.
n8dogggg March 12, 2007 March 12, 2007 You know what? Who makes up these names??? I've seen so many zoos go by different names that I stopped even trying to memorize them. I call that zoo you have the one with the yellow inside and green outside. So From now on I will call it Skittle Zoo! I mean really...Gorilla Nipples????
Grav March 13, 2007 March 13, 2007 That is a Mimic Eagle Eye Zingle Ding. In the Juvi stage they are clear, nearly invisable. As adults they morph into an eagle eye look and then just before they split into 2 polyps they look like the Zingle Ding... ever seen one of those? Kinda like a red and blue checkerboard center surrounded by 7 lavander rings... then back to the clear stage.
