astroboy March 13, 2025 March 13, 2025 I've got two fox corals I've had for six or eight months. Recently, a hammer coral has grown enough that it's sometimes in contact with one of them which is looking pretty bad: the whole coral is dying off, not just the side near the hammer. The other, which is out of range of anything is, is more or less OK. I've had problems with alkalinity which I'm fixing which perhaps contributes. Anyway, does anyone know anything about hammer vs. fox allelopathy? Thanx! Mark
YHSublime March 13, 2025 March 13, 2025 I have had a ton of coral warfare from overgrown tanks over the past 2 years. even if the whole fox coral is being effected, not just the part that’s touching, it’s not the first time I’ve seen that happen. it could be coupled with other stressors (like alk swings) and stinging, but if the fox coral elsewhere is OK, it sounds like you already have your answer! 😁
astroboy March 13, 2025 Author March 13, 2025 Thanks. I moved it a few days ago, hopefully that will work.
