I heard removing manual and adding in some spot hydrogen peroxide treatment. But want to make sure I keep it safe. DaJMasta July 6, 2023 Share July 6, 2023 Hydrogen peroxide can work as a dose too, but things can be sensitive to, so it's not an ideal situation. Fluconazole seems to pretty reliably remove it (and some other plants) and has a shorter list of potential pitfalls, though you have to get it as a fish specialty sort of product and dose accordingly. If you see the algae in profile, does it for or fan at all from the strands? Is there a blueish metallic tint to some strands?
