  1. I don't think so - wish they did!
  2. some better aquascaping... GSP and leather are in there only temporarily
  3. Thanks, it has an 4x8w T5 fixture - quality seems pretty good, but I don't really care for the acrylic legs. Sand and rock Clowns are in! .. still need to aquascape though
  4. I just got my new 12g cadlights AIO in the mail and have begun transferring livestock from my old 90g system. This is my first attempt at a nano so I'm looking forward to the experience. I want to do lots of zoas/palys/ricordeas in this tank. Fish will include my two mated true percs and probably a goby or blenny of some sort. Here's a pic of my 90g a week or two before beginning the breakdown. So sad to see it go! And here's the first couple pics of my nano. I did some aquascaping this evening and dropped in a few hermits and corals. I'll post updated pictures tomorrow.
  5. I just have a (free) photobucket account that I keep my photos on. Whenever I want to post a picture here on WAMAS, I just copy/paste the link from my photobucket album.

  7. thanks all for your comments! this picture was taken just a couple days after getting them, almost exactly a year ago: I could have gotten a lot more growth out of them, but I didn't start dosing calcium (I'm doing the 2-part stuff) for quite a while

  9. If it's going to be a danger for any of my tangs, I'm definitely not getting one for the main tank. This may be an option for me... thanks for the info everyone!
  10. I'm interested in getting one of these for my aquarium as a centerpiece. Any advice? My lighting is a 6x54w TEK T5 fixture how fast do these things grow on average? and how much of a threat will the anemone be to my other livestock (two tangs, pygmy cherub angel, shrimp, etc.)?
  11. my feather duster 'disappeared' for weeks ... but then I noticed it sliding around in its tube (which had grown way into the rock) as I was rearranging rockwork in my tank... I repositioned it and within a day or so its crown was out again.
  12. I noticed an asterina starfish wrapped around one of my zoas all day today.... looked again this evening and the starfish was gone, and the polyp it was wrapped around was all shredded up. I didn't know these things ate zoas. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
  13. I thought rabbitfish were peaceful! If it's going to be a threat to any of the other fish, I'll definitely be getting rid of it.
  14. Yes I did .. it's four or five inches long I think. There was also a much smaller one, but they both cost the same..... the aggression has died down quite a bit this morning. The tang still charges at the rabbitfish every once and a while, but far less than before. Both are eating like pigs
  15. thanks for the advice. I'll keep the lights off until tomorrow, see what happens .. If the aggression doesn't die down I'll try rearranging the rockwork. If neither works, it looks like I'll be getting rid of the rabbitfish.
  16. If I end up having to get rid of the fish (hopefully not :( ) you can have it. By the way I just installed the skimmer today and it's working beautifully!
  17. I just picked up an orange spot rabbitfish (now in my tank -- lights off) this afternoon, but my powder blue tang is being very aggressive towards it. Any advice on what to do?
  18. I was rearranging some rockwork the other day ... when I picked up one of the rocks I saw this big, thick, brick-red worm. My first thoughts were "what the heck is this and how do I get it out." Then I noticed that it was moving around inside a clear sort of "skin" .. by the time I got my camera, it had almost disappeared into the hole in the rock. I turned over the rock and realized that this was my feather duster worm that I had long thought to be dead! Anyway, just thought I'd share
  19. gotta show off my new camera Superman monti: Blue tort: Beige horrida?:
  20. although I just did a bunch of rearranging...will have to get an updated picture sometime
  21. modelrr = model railroader lol yes .. reminds me of my grandma's cat!
  22. I have a 10-30x stereo microscope ... I'll look at a couple tonight and post pics
  23. is there a site to identify them?
  24. just noticed a couple dozen baby cerith snails emerging from the sandbed this evening .... do you think they'll survive and get to adult size? EDIT from what I read they're definitely not ceriths...they look like rissoids or pyramid snails I think anyway, I looked closer at the sandbed and there are literally hundreds of these little things! I'm just hoping they're not harmful in any way
