  1. Pricy but here is a 150w HQI
  2. Why is your water level changing when the sock fills up? Do you have it completely out of the water? Can you just vacuum it out when you do water changes? You can always create more flow so it gets pumped back up for your corals.
  3. Welcome Acronyms Check out these links too
  4. That carpet is huge, I hope the other one makes it, and thanks for the frags.
  5. Here is one by Calfo about halfway down
  6. Water changes is the best way to bring it down, good luck
  7. Hopefully before it snows but you think people would make it up here?
  8. Not a shack but it is in the hills on a dirt road just ask MrTang or CHUBAKAH, they helped me move the tank in and had fun using their GPS to find the house. I'm out in Harpers Ferry, WV, a real hillbilly.
  9. I add baking soda to the wash and vinager to the rinse and I just put a dab of super glue on the end to prevent them from unraveling.
  10. 90G tank + 20G sump + 5G fuge moved over 100 miles and no losses. Here is what I did... I got 3 large pepsi barrels (35G & 55G or trash cans) and a few rubber maids and 5G buckets. Drain some water into the 5G and rubbermaid, for fish and corals, and take out as much corals as you can. Take your rock and put it in the large barrels and move to vehicle, take 5G buckets and fill barrels with water until rocks are covered. Taped the tops close with a trash bag. Put fish in 5G bucket and drain the rest of the tank as much as you can. Leave sand in the tank. I kept all the water but did use 15G of new water at the new house to help with the crud. I did not use any power heads, pumps or heaters. It took about 1.5 hours to drive and about 14 hours overall. Might be able to help and you can borrow the barrels if you need.
  11. Looks good. Who needs doors, it'll help the air flow! It is hard to see the back but you may need a few holes for plumbing and power cords too jk Heat is a big issue in the sump. I have a return pump, skimmer, refuge light and I have a fan over it to cool it. I replaced my end panels with peg board to allow more air flow. It might be a little late for you but when I build mine I made a built in water catch, the bottom is water tight and is framed with 2X4s. I don't know how much water it holds but with a flood sensor in it, it has saved the floors a few times. Might be able to add something to it before you set everything up. One thing I would have added to mine would be a small pull out table to put things on while working on/in the tank.
  12. If ph is you only problem now, just add a little wht vinager to lower it to a safe level.
  13. Thanks for your help! It looks like it went well. I have not taken inventory of every coral but all the fish are fine and the corals look OK just a little irritated still. Water tests last night show 0 nitrite and only 0.5 nitrate and the ammonia monitor shows 0.
  14. Just the 90G, I sold the Biocube just haven't updated the sig

  17. I am going to have to postpone the move until Sat the 9th starting at 8-9am. Please let me know if you are able to help. Sorry about the late response, I just got internet access up here and things have not gone as planned. A lot of problems that I still have to deal with so I am going to delay this tank move until next weekend.
  18. We are closing in 2 weeks on our new house in Harpers Ferry and will be moving the last weekend of July. I will be moving the fish tank Aug 2-3. I wanted to ask if anyone would be able to help with the tank on either of those days? I also might need one other person with a truck to help move things. I will pay for your gas too. Free pizza, drinks and frags to all that help out. I can also use any extra salt buckets you may have for the move. Thanks

  20. The urchin is great, he has only moved some of my loose shrooms so far. I am not missing any of my cleaning crew, do they eat them? I thought they just ate algae. He leaves nice white trails wherever he goes
  21. I wanted something different and he is. Thanks, he is a hard one to find. Sometimes it is a few days between seeing him even in the BioCube .
  22. Some recent pictures...
  23. I went to Scales today and picked up a few things for the cube...
  24. Yes Grav, old carpenters trick. Plain old white glue works great! Super glue is a little hard to get off.
