  1. You can polish those scratches.
  2. Wow, Chris, it's wonderful!!!! Beautiful tank! And photos are great too. What camera/settings you use?
  3. If you put chaeto in a mesh baggy (like from onions etc) then you can avoid mess and still have "pods farm"
  4. My hippo eats it if it gets in main display.
  5. I'm interested in Yellow tang and some sand, some snails. Where are you located?
  6. Gosh, very first post and so much angry... Too bad you did not like BRK. Why didn't you ask the owner why stuff was not for sale?
  7. I think I'm getting one of those for my fragging needs. Just wanted to share info. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...oductId=2104728
  8. Can you remove this rock or siphone babys when hatched? Would be fun to raise them!

    clams

I picked up 2 FANTASTIC clams! They are so-o-o beautiful and healthy!
  10. Yes, I agree with this. That MUST be one of the WAMAS missions. Maybe in connection with other pro-ecology groups and organizations.
  11. Thanks! Tough luck for your foxface... It's an LTA. I'm watching it carefully anyway. I had a case of 2 peppermint shrimps disappearance - or maybe they are just hiding for 3 weeks in the rockwork. However, anemone spits out any pieces of food bigger than 1/2".
  12. OK, I guess I can get an OM SuperSqirt instead of a Calcium reactor. Yes, those are deep water gorgonians. I think it's a good idea to move them into a shade, even though they are allright for now.
  13. OK, I never tried it myself but saw rock made by other people - it's a great idea. I think I have that booklet you refer to (I bought it on ebay). If I did not throw it away. You can have it if I find it.
  14. I bought from them before as well. Got 200 shells, a lot called "small-medium" and a lot called "large". Threw hem in my tank behind the rockwork - place for pods to prolifirate as well. In 2 month my hermits grew to the point when they started picking large shells. I agree it's free in some stores but I can not imagine picking 200... ( I have ~50 hermits)
  15. It's so amazing! Can you take pictures or make short videos, please?
  16. Hi, Welcome to the club. I really like your rockwork! Especially the arc. As for the setup - I would get rid of bioballs with time. With plenty of bacteria growing on them they are great for removig NH$ but accumulate nitrates in water fast. Just replace them with some live rock rubble.
  17. I also read that keeping fins close to body and wiggling around is a submissive behavior. I bet yellow is becoming a male!
  18. Are they wild caught or tank raised? Maybe orange one is wild and it takes time for him to get use to wiered food? Black one is most probably tank raised.
  19. Absolutely true! But they are so-o-o far away from where I live!
  20. I was thinking about getting a cheap anemone and perform the operation. Let me know if you are interested in joining the fun. We might even organize a anemone cutting party. :D
  21. It was a post here on WAMAS regarding propagation and EdwardJ mentioned it. http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6958
  22. Sad story. I remember you in Gaithersburg did not have electricity for a week. I read LTA in captivity grow up to 12" in captivity, mine is already that big. Hope it does not grow anymore. Maybe I should distress it to make split, or use Calfo's anemone cutting technique :idea2:
  23. I got it at extremecorals.com. It was described as cream with green polyps. Now it started to my great joy turning lavander, with darker tips and cream in some areas and looks really nice. Just wanted to share. I need a tripod though.
  24. I'm dealing with the same dilemma. :( But 20% OM group buy on RC made my mind. I think you can not go wrong with any. The only thing I did not like about getting Tunze - I do not like how they look in tanks, fairly bulky. If you hide your OM all you see in the tank are nozzles.
