  8. Your plan looks very nice. I have a few mini tapetums myself. I would still be VERY afraid of not having the upper frame on that tank. It's not the height of the tank that is so important. It's the thickness of the glass that is the "make or break" factor. I think you really should re-consider going frameless on a 30 breeder. The glass is too thin for your desired end result. It's hard to justify not being safe when you have so much time, money and heart into a tank. You might want to look into glass cages rimless tanks. They have a 40 Rimless for $100 and you can have your holes drilled wherever you want for a small fee. We have a 280 from glass cages that we are very happy with. We will be ordering another frag tank for our new house in about 2 weeks. glasscages.com may be a reasonable alternative for you. Good Luck, Jess
  9. From my understanding, a collector brought in a percula that had an unusual color pattern something like the picture below. They continue to breed them and a very very small percentage end up actually being sold as picassos. Mine will continue to get darker for a bit longer. Johnny has actually been to ORA and knows the whole scoop i'm sure. Maybe he will chime in again. -Jess
  10. Just want to update a little... Their colors are still changing! Say Hello To My Pablos! aka Picassos, aka Messed up Clowns. :D They Sleep like this in the chalice. Too Cool! Notice the WHITE Dorsal Fin That's all for now! From what I understand -- BRK is one of very few retailers getting Picasso Clowns from ORA. You'll need to speak with John or Byron in regards to getting a pair! They are totally cool fish in my opinion. Adios' Jess
  11. You can cut the foot of the clam with scissors or a razor blade, but if you mistakenly pull the foot out, your clam will die withing 48hrs maximum. Another method is an ice cube on it's foot... Best of luck. -Jess
  12. Just thought i'd share how fun of a person your WAMAS VP is!!! Now who couldn't laugh at these.... That's it for now, i'll have to see if I can dig up some more after our Meeting tonight.
  13. Poker?? So i can put you out again??

  16. Fingerprinted the DTs Oyster eggs that we won in the Raffle. -Jess
  17. With the water ban in effect last year on the way home from Macna, we checked some coral and TSA still sliced the bags and fingerprinted one of the items we had in there. Definately not worth bringing it on the plane in my opinion. -Jess
  18. Ditto! Cutting the foot is very risky business! Often times, gentle, is not gentle enough! I'd leave him. -Jess
  19. Powder browns can be very tough sometimes. You might want to check into a tomini. They are very cool tangs as well as very helpfull. They are a bristletooth tang and graze all throuhout the day on algae. Convict tangs are also a good choice. Very comical fish. Also a good grazer. -Jess image from Live Aquaria
