Found one place that lists it for sale: TooFishy Seio 2600
-
Ok. I'd appreciate if you keep me updated on the results. I'm not sure what model to look at getting. Did you find a good place to get them (ie cheap, but reliable?) Have you heard anything about the 2600's? I've heard rumors of them, but none of the sites I've checked seems to list them for sale. I also can't figure out what taam's website is, to check there.

I was reading a thread on RC about flow, and what is considered 'low flow' 'medium flow' and 'high flow'... quite honestly I never looked at the GPH ratings of the tunzes (just knew they were 'alot'), so now things are starting to click. I had assumed that my maxijet 1200's were putting out 'alot', because it was kinda blowing stuff over. Now that I know more, I see what I need is more dispersed flow.. a 620, 820, 1100, 1500.. I hear there are even 2600's! That would be an inexpensive alternative to the tunzes. I also hear that taam is putting out a controller for them, since the seios don't work correctly on wavemakers.

I was considering putting a seio 620 in my tank, as they are only 37 dollars (plus shipping). I was wondering what peoples experiences with them were (if you have a different model, I'd still like to hear your opinion!) Basically, I feel like my maxijets are too much like a firehouse, and not dispersed enough. However, I'm setting up a 180 gallon tank, and don't want to buy a piece of equipment that I won't be able to put to good use in that tank (taking my time getting it set up, so it will be a while before its all up and going). Current plans for the 180 are tunze streams, however they are quite pricey.. so am trying to figure out different options. Anyway, if you have any input, lets hear it!

So, has this guy replied to anyone? After his inital post, I haven't heard a thing from him...

Alex, here's a few shots of my 180-gallon stand. It's three glue/lam beams as opposed to one.

Oh wow! Is it all cleaned up now? Are you going to fix that shop vac you burned out?
-
Welp, might as well add my part, since its obvious people would like you to part it out already.. what model myreefcreations skimmer is it that you have?

The shroom that is left: and the culprit! :

So... just like many people, I've had my suction cups lose suction... most of the time, the pump has harmlessly landed on rock below... But not today! :wall: Today, when I got home from work and peered into my tank.. I saw my one maxijet leaning onto a rock (one suction cup still holding)... and the intake landed right on my one hairy shroom! I've freed it, but about 90% of the shroom is... gone. :bigcry: I think it will recover though. This thing has split twice already, and the part thats left looks ok. I'll have to snap a shot of it. Anyay, the other 'mounting clip' that the maxijet comes with doesn't even come close to fitting on my tank. Any suggestions? I was considering buying a pair of magnets for each pump, glueing one to the maxijet, and then having it hold like a magnet cleaner on the side...

Lol! I was just thinking "holy crap, how did this post get to 22 replies so fast?" now I know Beer and contests... anyone watch family guy? Glen Quagmire: Who wants to play drink the beer? Peter: Right here. [drinks beer] Peter: What do I win? Glen Quagmire: Another beer. Peter: I'm going for the high score. Glen Quagmire: Actually, Charlie's got the high score. Charlie: Hey, your clock won't flush!

Cool pictures.. Is that digitata fully colored? I haven't seen one that light colored before (but I like it)

As of now, I have two 250-watt MH"s (10000k XM bulbs, magnetic ballasts). Plans for lighting over the 180 I'm putting up will be 3 MH's, and either 1 or 2 VHO actinics. Trouble? Like with the tank itself? Or algae/etc type? I've gone through the typical phases... first phase thinking I would do fish only.. then getting pc's and going with some zoo's /softies... then wanting sps, etc, and putting up MH's... then working on water quality (still in progress =p )

Thanks. I have a Fuji S5100 as a camera (S5100 Link) - the problem is it doesn't have image stabilization, and I don't have a tripod.. so so far the pics I've taken are of me trying to hold the camera really steady I really need a tripod, and a macro lense for it, then I'd get some really nice shots I would think.

This one is a 55 gallon. I've had it up for about 6-7 months now, and have gone through alot of phases of upgrading, etc. My current project is setting up a 180 gallon though, and the stuff from the 55 will be transferred.

Wow, no comments No "cool pics, Tim", or "Tim your tank sucks!" even? Dhoch, I remember you mentioning the hermits on the caps... did they ever do any harm to any of your caps?

A while back, I got a frag of tenius that was on its own little rock. I placed the rock up high in my tank, and because of the shape of the rock, it fit right into a grove on a piece of my live rock. So I did the smart thing: I didn't glue it down, but just let it perch there. Yesterday, as I was looking in the tank, I realized something was wrong... and it finally occured to me - I hadn't seen my tenius in days! I started looking around, as I was thinking "where did that thing walk off to"... and I gasped as I saw it, face down in the sand. I quickly retrieved it, and placed it back in its 'spot'. This is what it looks like now: If you'll notice, the top right branch has become completely white. However, all the polyps on the rest seem to be extending (I didn't think that would happen at all). Should I do anything for this poor guy, or just give him time? ----------------- I also want to share something good, so here's a few pics chronologically, of the recovery of my green hammer - in pics where there's more than one, its the back one: --------------- Next, I wanted to share some pics of xenia... I received two big frags of it from Dave (dhoch), and perched them up high, with the mindset that xenia likes to grow upwards, so keep it closer to the top. I thought I had placed it high enough, but apparently not - here's a shot of it growing quickly onto surrounding rocks: The stalk on the left has completely moved itself to an adjacent rock! --------------- I also wanted to show a picture of two hermits on my monti cap. I've seen 4 perched on this thing at a single time; I can't imagine its good for the cap getting enough light. I have yet to move them, but is this something I should do? Is it harming them? --------------- And lastly, can anyone ID this frag? I received it from fragexchange at MACNA, and it seems to be doing ok, but I have no idea what it is:
-
Him? or me? Or both?
-
Almost, but not quite.. you missed a topic!
-
That looks alot like my shroom:
-
I'm having that same trend.. the sps that I got from Dr. Mac has pretty much kicked the bucket, while the sps frag I got from fragexchange is doing very well.

when I was browsing through my photobucket pics, I found one that has the hammers from that first pic.. Just posting it, so you can see how some color has returned to the hammer that still looks like its not doing so well.. definitely on the road to recovery. Dave, I don't think it could be the temp swings, as when I put it in my tank, I put actinics over it within a few hours, so I could see the green, but it still didn't show at all. I'm still happy with it though, it looks healthy and growing.

I'd be happy to! Here's a link to his feedback/profie: Marineaquaria ebay link On the right hand side is a link to his auctions. The auction I did was for 25 nass. vibex snails, and as I mentioned he packed extras, no doas Also, he messaged me to thank me for payment, and to give me a tracking number when he shipped it. Good feeback score as well.
