  1. Lynz, Welcome aboard. This is a great community. Being a relative newbie myself I can attest to WAMAS and its members being a great resource to help you along the way.
  2. Changed the battery and all is well. Going to recalibrate tomorrow. Plan to clean the sump a bit, do a water change, and generally clean things up. Just finished putting together an A vast carbon reactor. That will go in tomorrow in place of the old reactor. A vast makes a very nice product. Dan is an awesome guy.
  3. All is good. Sensor died today. Am guessing time for a new battery
  4. Thanks. Tank does look the same and have not dosed anything other than the kalkwasser that goes in with my top off. I will recheck the probe tonight.
  5. My pistol shrimp basicallyhangs out under a large rock in the front of my tank. He spends his night's digging and part of his days too. Now and then he will venture out but never very far. Never had a problem between the pistol and crabs/snails.
  6. He recently paired with my pistol shrimp. After two months of ignoring one another, they now live in the same burrow. I just wish they would get happy with the home and stop their constant redecorating
  7. Mine likes to rearrange the snails and hermits. Picks them up and carries them to the back corner of the tank.
  8. Pink spotted watchman Gobi?? I love mine, it is a real character.
  9. I am using a pin point probe. It was last calibrated about a month ago.
  10. My pH has been slowly increasing this past week. Has gone from 7.9 to 9.8. What can lead to this type of increase. Has been steady for months and now it is moving.
  11. Thanks Tom. It does look like some are growing, but others are not. Will have to find a scraper as my hand does not fit between the baffles. Not sure it would be a good idea to have these all get loose in the display.1 or 2 RBTA's in 90 is more than enough.
  12. For those asking for a photo, please see attached. Any thoughts on how I can remove or whether I need to get all the little pieces (and bigger pieces) out of my sump?
  13. That is what I think may have happened. But I have a cover on the pump. The pieces, for lack of a better word, have attached themselves to the walls of my sump.
  14. No, looks like little tiny RBTAs. I have aphasia in my refugium, they look very different.
  15. Ok, so I had a nice RBTA in my tank. It had settled down and suddenly it started walking about and would settle into one place or another for about a week. Then, it disappeared. Was gone for two weeks. Figured it was hiding out in a rock. Yesterday,I found a much smaller version of the RBTA in my sump. I pulled it out and resettled it in the tank. Today, I found many, what appear to be, even smaller RBTAs in between the sump baffles. I have a cover on my MP 40. Anyone have any ideas what happened? Did it go through the pump? How can I get all of the little ones out of my sump, and should I? Victor
  16. I have found it at Quantum Reefs from time to time.
  17. Go with the Avast. excellent skimmer and Dan is a great guy to deal with, plus they area sponsor of the site. Can't go wrong with an Avast Skimmer.
  18. Seemed to be only the one. From what I have read, where there I one, there are more so will keep a weathered eye on.my tank. Managed to grab and remove the one in my fuge with tweezers.
  19. Sharkey, I did a google search and I think you are correct. I do not see it anywhere but in the refugium.
  20. Looks awesome. Well done!
  21. Found this little fellow in my refugium. I have no idea what it could be. Green tentacles, looks very plant-like but upon being touched, it darts back into the Cheato.
  22. Out of curiosity, can the Apex Controller control both my AI Hydra 26 lights and my MP-40? That would allow me to eliminate the two separate controllers that I now use. Don't plan on switching any time soon, but am curious for future planning purposes.
