  1. Is this over? I see you are still posting as of Yesterday. I like the orange envy. Are you coming up closer to DC in the near future or is there someone else's order being shipped that I may jump in on?
  2. Very Beautiful tank BTW
  3. +1 on dosing, you already run a ATO so why not try dosing kalk?
  4. My other fish are usually hiding in rocks and nems(sleep) during the day and come out during the evening when the lights come on which is when the wrasse disappears in the sand. The wrasse is usually the only fish out swimming around until the lights come on.The room gets some light. I only have a clownfish, a trio of chromis, and a bi-color blenny.
  5. They come on around 5:00pm and turn off around 12:30
  6. I recently purchased a coris wrasse from Petland. It is doing fine and healthy( so it appears) except it only comes out during the day when no one is home to feed it or anything. When my lights come on (around 5:30pm) the wrasse is hiding under the sand. Is the wrasse fine scavenging for food during the day when there is no action? How can I coach him out to feed and mingle with the other tank residents when the lights come on?
  7. Nothing has been added or changed , not even rearranging of rock work. I thought they could change back and forth also.
  8. Should I try a bigger female and let my female change back to male? Or try another smaller male with my female? Again thanks for any input.
  9. So I have a pair of gladiator clowns in a 37 cube along with a green chromis. Fish were all doing fine until about a month ago. That's when the female clown started to be a little too aggressive toward the smaller male clown. At first it was typical clown behavior of clowns setting up dominance( chasing, twitching, shaking, etc.) but nothing more. As of recently the female has become so aggressive that she has started charging the male and actually biting the male and shaking the male as if she was a pitbull attacking. I have noticed fin damage on the male as well. She's not letting the male eat and has even caused him to jump in my overflow a few times to avoid her aggression. Which I saved him from literally being sucked down my oveeflow pipes.I have since seperated the fish and placed the male in my sump and the female doesn't seem to care that her mate is gone. My question is should I place him back in the display and let nature run its course or scrap the male and try another male down the road? If my option is place him back how long should I wait before reintroducing the male? Fish where a little pricey for me and I would hate to have her kill the male. Thanks for any input.
  10. This is a beautiful tank and I am following along for updates as well.
  11. Nice looking pics. What are the zoas in the last pic with the Redskins colors? How can I get a frag of those?
  12. I read someplace that Octos normally die after mating or giving birth and they typically live about 2 years.
  13. +[And instead of a sandbed lay green star polyps as turf.
  14. Does anyone keep a yellow fanged blenny? I am thinking of adding one to my tank but wanted to hear concerns some of you have with keeping this fish. Any pros or cons would help with my decision.
  15. Well guess it's time to wear gloves during tank maintenance.
  16. +1 on the Gold Nugget Maroons Very expensive fish in my opinion but would love to have a pair one day.
  17. +1 I purchased my pair of gladiators from MattieJay6 I would say check him out ,great seller and he can get his hands on some nice designer clowns. I have purchased 2 pairs from him (pair of wyoming whites)and all fish where healthy and eating.
  18. Great News!!! 1.)My female clown is hosting the nem!! 2.)The female is chasing the male around the tank like crazy, but I don't see any physical damage to the male. She is literally charging him at every chance she gets at full speed.I feel sorry for him but I heard this is normal. I tried to get a small video of my tank uploaded but I am having a difficult time.
  19. I have a pair of gladiator clowns. They're in my avatar.
  20. Thanks for the clarity, No I don't use a feed cycle in that case. Not sure it that would be a beneficial choice for me since I usually feed frozen food. Would I need to feed dried foods if using a feed cycle?
