  1. Both of them come out regularly at feeding time.. and both can be found anytime... the 2nd one stays on the overflow, but in plain sight.. the one in this video moves around a bit more.. They both react to me near the glass which is funny... if I stick my face near the overflow the one will swim his face right to me... really oddball and fun fish Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  2. Bringing this one back up... I have two of these guys doing great... here is a quick (bad) video of one of them eating...pretty cool fish.. https://youtu.be/AN0g0ABBKe8 Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. I wanted to update this thread for anyone searching in the future.. I added 4 blue saphire damsels (Chrysiptera springeri).. one was smaller and got pushed around and ended up in the top corner of the tank hiding.. so I gave him away... The other three have been doing great in my tank for about 3 months or so.. there is a clear larger one and two smaller ones.. the larger one gets along with them all, the two smaller ones bicker sometimes but no damage... They pay little mind to my other fish, other than the occasional shake at my clown or orchid dottyback.. At night time they all have distinct sleeping territory that they guard but still only posturing and a brief chase.. nothing brutal... Overall I am absolutely thrilled that I added them. The bright electric blue is amazing and they are constantly in motion... really neat fish that I would recommend with the following requirements: Don't add just one (at least 3) At least a 3-4 foot tank with clear territories for each damsel Add all at once Just my thoughts Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. Yea I agree.. I have forgotten my ATO for a day or so and just topped off at once.. many many times in fact Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  8. If it's ich that concerns you the same QT applies as fish.. 8-10 weeks in a fish less system.. that's the only way to break the life cycle...
  9. I would run two mp40 across from each other or 2 mp10s across from each other with one on the back glass.. The flow from multiple vortechs working together is hands down the best flow you can get IMO... I miss it dearly haha...
  10. Spoken like a man who knows from experience
  11. Appreciate it... it's challenging.. if i can turn the whites up typically the pics are better... this one is still a little blue
  12. Finally got a better pic... still not perfect.. but not bad.. also wanted to show off the world's largest chromis haha..

Plenty of water movement? Specifically breaking the surface for oxygen exhchange? Sorry to hear it... don't give up, stuff happens in this hobby it's a very fine line we walk
  14. A nice one on Divers den.. but does this look like green algae on the porites? Or just the color? I thought about trying one as well..
  15. No water that I can tell.. last time I cleaned it there was a small amount but even after drying it and putting back it was still loud
  16. I have an Aquamaxx ecomaxx em300 that has gotten loud.. it's not the pump it's the "silencer" on the airline... I have cleaned it out etc.. doesn't help... it sounds like a pressure cooker or a teapot haha... any tips or ideas?
  17. I think I could answer about damselfish (have 3 peacefully and done a bunch of research).. stippled clingfish and cardinalfish.. as well as blennies, gobies, clowns, dottybacks...
  18. Latest FTS... have been so busy with work havent done much with tank lately.. water was a little cloudy as my snails had a spawning event...
  19. Yea I cut it... no issue at all as I only cut about 1/2 inch or so
  20. Would it be detrimental to the elegance if I cut the tip off the base? To make it flat so it will sit on the barebottom? It is not open much today and im wondering if it's too much light or flow...
  21. It's about 4" or so.. has 4 large polyps.. from DD..
  22. Seems to have shipped nicely.. in the tank last night and stayed mostly closed... came home from work today and this is how it looked (sorry for the overly blue shot, sunset started haha) Not 100% open but decent for only being in tank just over 24 hours... also saw it grab a piece of food and eat when I fed the tank...
  23. Ordered this one from DD... love the pink tips... hopefully arrives in good shape..
