Anyone rig theirs using just one of the included float valve? I used mine for 2 years using one float in the sump and one in the 5gallon tank freshwater reservoir. I want to use just one in the sump and a 5 gallon buck as the freshwater reservoir without putting a float in the bucket. According to the directions this should be ok, but when I try it I get nothing.

Radion pro, 12 inches off water line...went from 50% whites to 30% and noticeable difference in 3 weeks time.

Just be careful with the LEDs......I've found that turning the whites down to 30% or less has made an amazing difference on my tank.

Take an led flashlight to a coral after your lights go out. I have bought acros off people on Wamas that have world class tanks and they do still have some brown tint when you just shine a white light on them.

I think almost everyone takes pics under blue bulbs. White bulbs makes almost all corals brown-looking.

I don't think this Disney colony is photoshopped. http://reefbuilders.com/2015/01/26/rainbow-acropora-sps-coral/

Disney acro is downright incredible

I was buying a piece of equipment that was not offered by and of the local fish stores here in the area. I looked online to price them and I found a place that had it for a little less than Premium Aquatics. The place didn't have the greatest rep and from what I've read premium aquatics has a good rep--plus they are a WAMAS sponsor. I emailed them (on a Sunday) and asked if they would price match. I got an email no later than about 15 minutes later and the price was matched. The equipment is in the mail. Great customer service. Thank you!

That's really cool! I wanted to get a PicO tank. I've heard they are really nice. Hand built.
I had a really nice 5 gallon eco pico with some sps/lps/zoas a while back with a yellow clown goby. I recommend one in a tank that size.

The green colored serpent Stars have been know to cause havoc on reef tanks

I love the shallow tanks that are long. Manageable water changes because they are only 100 or so gallons but long enough to get almost any fish in there.

ecotech is great. You can't beat the customer service.

I went with dry rock from BRS. Had some pest issues in my tank beforehand so I didn't want to take that chance.

This is an old thread but just to let you know I use the charts weekly. Thanks for doing this!

550 gallons...holy moly! I could lose a dozen in that tank and not even realize it!

My male Bartlett terrorized one of my females literally to death. I bet your tank is a lot bigger than mine and with 12 anthias he could spread out his aggression. Either that or I had one nasty fish.
-
I have truncate anthias. They are very pretty and hardy. The male barely agitates the female unlike when I had a trio of barletts.

I've use a fish trap and it worked on a six lined wrasse which is a notorious difficult fish to catch. They sell them on the online marine stores.

You really need to get exactly.1 ml of water in the sample. If you are off by even a couple hundredths your readings will not be accurate. That's my experience with this checker.

Is this type of danger attributed just to palys or are zoas included?
