I was cleaning off my sand because I have some red stuff on it with bulb algea and lost a damsel. Most of upset the sand so much. Maybe a little cycle crap. I saw him going up to the top after I mixed it up. Nitrite. 1 ammonia. 25-.5

Have you all had any issues with damsels or 6 line wrasse eating hermits or snails? Thank you Matt

This was an old heater that came with the tank. I bought a new one today and live rock. I think I have around 110 pounds of rock. When the tank is done cycleing, i have 30 pounds in my nano that will go in over time with coral on it.

I was thinking water on the inside

I just had one of my two heater flash on me with my hands out if the tank. When i unplugged it I removed it from the sump there was water on the inside of the heater. Man I am glad I didn't have my hands in the tank.

Refractor I only have sand and little rock but will bring it down slowly

Tom yes i will be topping off ro/di water from a bucket for now. I though i had a leak but now i am pretty sure it is just evaporation. I am measuring by putting a piece of tap on the glass in the return chamber and seeing it go down. Thank you Matt

PUMPS will be here monday. Salinaty is high 1.030 working on that getting it down to 1.025. Seems like my water level keeps going low. How much evaperation do you all get in a day. I am going to add an ato post new pump install. I want to know what you all lose in water so i can get some sort of measurement? thanks

I order a new pump for my skimmer from premium aquatics. Hope to have that up and running by the weekend. I also plan to put the doors on my cabinet.

Over the weekend it was making alot of noise and stoped working so I am in the market for a new pump.

Is there anything you can put under the main pump to quite it down? Or can someone recommend a tread that talks about quite pumps?

What do you all recommend for skimmer in my sump i have a 11X14 foot print?

Thanks Ron I got a nice little light from F&F for the Sump area I also got the water flowing, I am glad I put the ball values in the over flow pipes and the return. It was interesting trying to get the right mix. Pump is a little noisey. I put 30 pounds of dry rock (Reef saver). Tonight i am putting in some live rock 30 pounds, more live rock to come. I have three 1200 power heads running as well.

Half the pipe was under water and half was exposed to air i think. Now i need some base rock I want to build two or three rock towers

I called yesterday they are selling live rock 4.50 a pound.

On the overflow pipes do they need to go below the first buffet panel to keep the water from make a splashing noise.
