  1. Took my second trip there today and brought my daughter and husband...he was very impressed..and i am down in Woodbridge......it was so worth the trip....I have spent most of my posts here raving about Sean's shop and his great CS. Got a tailspot blenny and false percula today and some other supplies. I will be going back when necessary...i meant to get some more rics but totally zoned out and forgot...good excuse to go back Thanks Sean!
  2. Sean said either the Prazipro would heal her or it would kill her....she seemed to perk up after day 2's bath but i am worried i put in too much on day 3 which was yesterday..she died last night...ugh..i am still so upset i couldn't save her =(
  3. Well sadly the little clown is no longer of this world..i am CRUSHED....i tried so hard to nurse her back to health....i know it's 'just a fish' to some people but i have dogs, hermit crabs, my tanks...and i take the responsibilty of caring for them very seriously...so when something dies, even as small as this little clown it really hurts. We haven't told my daughter yet...she knows 'Basket' was sick and 'hiding' behind some live rock, so i will leave it at that and hopefully replace her with a non disease-ridden fish. *sigh*
  4. A HUGE CONGRATS!!!!! Be VERY proud!!!!
  5. Not long after i first set up my tank, i had hair algae. I turned the rocks over so they got no light...that seemed to be the biggest help along with lots of water changes and blowing debris off the rock with a turkey baster

RIP sweetie...succumbed to internal parasites while in QT :(
  7. New to WAMAS but went to Sean's store in Reston..the Aquarium Company as mentioned above...imo...he's awesome....he's totally dedicated and extremely helpful. I found the prices to be very reasonable and he had a wonderful selection. I only have/keep soft corals but he had some beauties of all kinds. Not a ton of fish, but he said it's not very healthy for the fish to be in route this time of year...that right there showed me just how much he cares. He told me the story of the rescue tank where he has been keeping a clownfish for about 15 years (i think that's how long he's had it)...to me, Sean seems like he goes above and beyond and CARES about his livestock. That means a lot to me.
  8. Thanks..i needed it 'today' so i picked some up from Sean..along with some goodies.... I hope and pray the Prazipro works...put the clown in a bath with it..hoping by tomorrow her appetite will come back...or sadly i think she might be headed to the coral reef in the sky if she won't eat soon :(
  9. Thank you Steve...looks like they are not open till Wednesday though...i am going to try and get this tomorrow if i can. Appreciate you taking time to post!
  10. Hi! Thank you for the replies...i have a ocellaris in qt that i am very sure has internal parasites. She stopped eating a few days ago.
  11. Hi! I am about to order some of this online but would prefer to support a LFS...Wally's doesn't have it and neither do any of the other stores near me that i know of. I am in Woodbridge, VA Thanks!!!
  12. I followed a link from reefcentral. I live in PWC, VA..not far from Potomac Mills. I have a 72gl bowfront with some softies and only 3 fish. It's been running over 5 years...not a lot in it but what i have looks pretty lol! I also have a 6g Nano in my daughter's room with a frags from the 72 and a false percula clown. I am interested in buying local frags, zoos and rics with yellows reds blues. Thanks!!
  13. I have had HGM for a few years now and they split on their own...i have one that is around 8" diameter when fully open. I love them They look just like the link you posted....not quite 'neon' green. At first it looked like you might have a ricordea but mine looks like a ricordea at times when the 'hair' is retracted just after the lights go off or on.
