Coming back to hobby after 10 year break

hi gang - glad to see the community is still going strong.  I had a 150 rimless mixed reef in 2012 that ended up being sold, equipment, fish and corals, to fellow wamas members!  Here it was at its peak.  The large polyp zoa's ended up being sold to a bunch of Wamas buyers.  Wonder if some of these corals/fish are still out there

 

New tank will be started out of my Leesburg location.  Any Wamas members out here?  Or perhaps Ashburn?  I'll definitely be a buyer for seeded live rock, fish, and corals in the months to come.

 

I also have a system weight question out on RC if anyone has any thoughts about it.

Glad to see you back. Your old tank was awesome. I’m sure this will be as well. There are a bunch of reefers out your way. Im only 40 mins from you and have a ton of corals ready to go.

I've seen people in the selling forum from both Leesburg and Ashburn, but it seems like a majority of the club is NOVA, if nothing else.

Took a quick look at your weight question. You’re likely ok. I had a 125 in a second floor apartment.

If you want to be sure, I can point you to the contractor who reinforced the floor for my 260 gallon build. Family business with a structural engineer with something like 40 years of experience. Not sure what they would charge for the consult, but they’re in Virginia and did amazing work. Most of the results are on my build thread (which I desperately need to update).
