YHSublime January 30, 2020 January 30, 2020 I have 2 dollys to set the tank on right now, both rated for 1000lbs. The tank is probably about 300-400lbs, and is 5'x3'. Can I set the tank down with dolly's on either side, or would it be best to put it on a blanket until I can get a piece of plywood to distribute the weight?
ImGoingCoastal January 30, 2020 January 30, 2020 Took me a second but I think I understand. You are either putting each end of the tank on a dolly, or abandoning them for the moment and putting them on the floor? This was an empty tank right? How big are the Dolly's? Rimless tank I assume?Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

Currently the tank is on the floor, on a sheet, which isn't really doing much other than keeping it from the low possibility of scratches on the bottom. The dollys are 18"x30" with a 1000lb capacity each.
madweazl January 30, 2020 January 30, 2020 The 150g sat like this for a year and a half (holding water just fine now).

madweazl January 30, 2020 January 30, 2020 We lost the little dude (Opie) on the left about a year ago, it sucked. For what it's worth, that tank is a hair under 300lbs so if you're a foot wider, the glass is likely quite a bit thicker and quite a bit heavier (I still dont think it would be an issue but if you were worried about it, you could drop a 3/4" piece of plywood under it).

Ah, that’s a bummer. My guys are getting up there in age, I’ll be out of commission for a while when we get there. It looks like yours almost covers the whole bottom. The tank is 5’x3’ so I’m not sure how to position them.
