For the guys that help out there, just a suggestion. Ditch the sand beds in the tanks. It does look much better but when a fish comes in with ick (it will happen, no way around it) it will live in the sand beds. You will never get rid of it with the sand beds on the bottom.

well, i stopped by aquarium one today at lunch! was very impressed, especially considering the short time they've been open.

the direction the store is going in is very pleasing to me, especially considering the saltwater offerings at a few other places. I was very happy to see a lot of larger holding tanks. the tanks looked like they were still settling in, but all the animals were lively and active, and curious when you came up to look at them. all looked very healthy as well.

freshwater selection (which i'm getting into) looked excellent as well.

dimitri was great, he talked to me for about 20 mintues about the setups, and then plans they had. it sounds like they are definitely headed in the right direction. prices looked good on the standard items, huge food selection, etc... but i'd say the best part was the dimitri was very open about answering my questions, and repeatedly reminded me that if i wanted anything specific, just let someone know and they'll order it. the fish variety was appreciated too, i saw several fish, that i consider to be common stocking items, i haven't seen anywhere else regularly... yellow watchman goby springs to mind. he was cute!

you guys looking for any part time help? my saturdays and a few weeknights are still open! :0)

i'm definitely going to come after a frag of those zoas when i get my frag tank up this weekend!

Hey Charlie,

I think Dimitri is still looking for a few more people. You should definately apply. It's been getting busier every day so if he's not looking now he will be soon.

We're going to have 2 90G coral tanks one will be for soft and lps corals and the other will be sps and clams. We're working on getting the second tank set up now.

Charlie talk to Dimitri as Chris said the shop is getting busier every day and I'm not reliable help (I'm only there when I have time in between FT work, kids and a wife in college)

sweet... i'll stop by after work... i have limited time, but it's always the same evenings/days every week. :0) wooo.

Gotta say I really like the store. Great selection of fish. The best part its only 10 minutes from my house. I even broke down and bought the smalled baby clown trigger I've ever seen. Had to set him up his own 42 gallon hex until I decide what to do with him, not to mention dealing 180 move. Jeez, it really is 4:30, time for bed.

I want to check this place out. I think I am heading up to that area next week. Do they have plumbing? Bulkheads in particular. Also what are the store hours and days of the week open? Could you post the address, I am not at all familiar with the area so I must Google for directions. Thanks.

it's in wintergreen plaza on 355. google that, it's next to safeway. actual directions. i'm not positive on the hours. pretty standard, like 10-7 ish.

plumbing, i just was asking about that today, right now they don't really have anything, they can order whatever you need, but they plan to have a plumbing section once they get more settled. it's still only about the 3rd week they've been open. things are looking great! it was busy today when i was in there :)
