Carl August 17, 2006 August 17, 2006 It is currently on a trailer in my driveway. It should be easy to push the trailer down to the back door of the house...Then the hard part begins. It is made out of steel, and I think the largest of the 4 pieces is around 550-600 pounds. Issue is, I have a wood floor in the basement, and freshly painted walls that I hope I don't have to touch up too much after this move... We have to turn/twist it 3 times before it finds it's resting place. Four of us were able to lift it up onto the trailer...but since we have to finagle it through 2 doorways, we have to lift it up on its side around 2 corners. This afternoon, I built a quasi-replica of the stand out of wood just to see if it would fit around the corners... And it does...although I will have to move about 30 storage boxes out of the way before Saturday morning. I can offer beer and pizza, although 10am may be a little early for that... So I can get my neighbors primed for this...what time do you think you'll be by here Steve? 10:00am? ....here it is being forklifted out of the shop... -Carl
chefthomasr August 17, 2006 August 17, 2006 Carl, Do we need to rotate it so the feet are to the side or up or whatnot? Or just turns?
Carl August 17, 2006 August 17, 2006 Carl, Do we need to rotate it so the feet are to the side or up or whatnot? Or just turns? It will all be on the same floor - no stairs...actually there is a one-step down...no biggie. Issue is, we need to turn in on it's side to get it through the back door, then across the basement. Then we need to flip it on it's OTHER side to get through the door into the fish room. That'll be the difficult part...flipping it from one side, to the other side. And there isn't ton's of room to do this flip. -Carl
