VA Reefdog March 20, 2019 Share March 20, 2019 Greetings to all. I am new to WAMAS- joined a while ago looking to find a used 120 gallon setup. I had been looking for one for about 3 months now in the Richmond group as well. Great news-- I finally found one last weekend. Now a bit about me--- I started reefing in 2014. I started with a 29 gallon biocube- here it is at the 2 year mark- and then I added a 75 gallon tank that I had for about 2 years. I stopped reefing for a couple of years because of work and family time constraints. I am very happy to say I have the time to jump back in now. Nice to meet you. YHSublime March 20, 2019 Share March 20, 2019 Welcome! That 75 gallon looks like you had a nice mixed reef prior!
VA Reefdog March 21, 2019 Author Share March 21, 2019 Thanks-- started the biocube with just softies and LPS. Then added a few montis and a birdsnest. That got me into sticks so the 75 was a true mix. Top pic is far right then center and then left. Loved that tank. Will probably do mixed reef again. menglish March 21, 2019 Share March 21, 2019 Welcome to the club. If you are ever in the Silver Spring area, I will frag something in my tank for you. let me know
VA Reefdog March 21, 2019 Author Share March 21, 2019 That would be great- I will have to make a trip that way just to say hi/see your setup and get a frag. Given the number of projects I am in the middle of-- I expect I won't be setting up this tank for a couple of months. I have never had a dual overflow tank-- so I will ask later about my plumbing plans and sump design. I am also going to be building a canopy-- something I haven't done before so I will surely have questions about that as well. And because I like pictures best-- I will include a couple more from my old 75 gallon ' Thank you. Greg
