dbartco July 22, 2006 July 22, 2006 I'll give you story that will also make you feel better about loosing a few corals. Years ago, I 'thought" I know what I was doing when it came to pumbing. A connection popped off, and I had no siphon break. Most the water from the tank and sump (about 100 gallons) went on to the second floor of my townhouse. It flowed directly into a heating vent, destroying the AC and furnace. SOOO after a wall and ceiling of drywall, furnace, and 2 floors of carpeting, I think I may win dummy of the decade award! Yes making mistakes is part of the game. Hopefully nobody has one worse than mine. Believe it or not, in my case, all livestock lived. With the new tank, at the new house, IN THE BASEMENT, things are much better. Talk with everyone about the where problems can rear their ugly heads, and strive for prevention (including quaranteening, where I also had to learn a very hard lesson!). It will make the long term experience much more gratifying.
