I have a Maxspect Gyre with cracked cable near and along the motor. I notice it when I took the unit out for cleaning. I submitted a ticket with Coral Vue and got a new motor within a few days (4 days) of the ticket. Luckily, I always have backup pumps. While it's a pain to have the pump out of service for a few days, the overall experience with customer service was great!
