cane November 30, 2017 November 30, 2017 (edited) I installed a reefsavy ghost overflow on my new 240 build. But the problem is how LOUD the water is flowing down the drain pipe down to the basement sump. I also installed a 1” tube in the hole in the main overflow pipe. Please help as this thing is LOUD. I have a valve on the drain line Edited November 30, 2017 by cane
Jon Lazar November 30, 2017 November 30, 2017 Is the Beananimal optimally tuned? I mean, is the siphon pipe handling 99% of the water so that only a trickle goes down the second pipe (the "open channel")?
Origami November 30, 2017 November 30, 2017 Is the valve completely opened? If so, you may need to close it some so that, as Jon says, it'll be in full siphon mode handling most of the flow with only a little water going down the second pipe. Take a good close look at the output of the three pipes and see what's going on there. One (your emergency drain)should have no output . Another (the side with the valve on it - the siphon side) should have a nice, full stream with no air coming out. The last should have a slight amount of water coming out of it.
