Gadgets June 19, 2006 June 19, 2006 I am posting this from my blackberry. I just got home and I have NO power!!! Not sure how long it has been off, but I pray that it comes back on soon. I guess the next time I am in Bestbuy I will buy one of those battery backups. Sorry for the post, I just needed to vent a little. Just when I thought everthing was going well, something like this happens.

How are the colors of the frags?
dhoch June 19, 2006 June 19, 2006 Well you can't really tell from the pics (taken too soon after I got them from you I belive, but the blue tip has really blued out all it's polyps which is awesome and the purple ora has gotten much purpler (is that a word?!?)... Monti cap looks about the same as does the milli (but the milli is growing the fastest)... The hispadia is awesome... Dave

The last time this happened to me for THREE DAYS I kept the whole tank alive by using a bucket and scooping out water and just dumping back in! BTW, I can appreciate the Blackberry, I'm on it now too!

Just so u know the blue tip is MORE than a blue tip. I got it as a brown out and I swear everyday the entire colony gets more color. I hope that it turns completely blue. dchild June 19, 2006 June 19, 2006 Sorry to hear that. FWIW, for a little more $$ and an hour of construction, you can do much better than a UPS. Check out my battery backup thread. I actually faced near-disaster myself a few months ago as I originally hooked it up to my computer - so when I had a power outage, my tank was without power for an hour until I got home and moved the backup over to the tank!
wolfman June 20, 2006 June 20, 2006 if you are going to get a deep cycle battery than your better off buying a glass mat, batterys plus in fairfax sells them, they dont have post for cranking and they are not spillable i use one for my trolling motor on my bass boat, and it will last a long long time, the company that makes them is werker. check it out later and good luck with that.
