I didnt say every member i said a few people and yes there are some of those members that will help you out i agree but there are those few that do it to make a profit right or wrong?

what sucks is a couple people on this board sell there corals to try to make a profit like a little chip of superman for 60- 80 when they have a football size peace in there tank and you know they make thousands off that peace instead of trying to help people out its a shame. I could name five of the top of my head that are on this board and so could many of you it needs to stop. just my two cents

i have tried everything when it comes to ich and i would have to say cooper is the best way to go for fish if you have a qt tank. but no filters or anything can go back in the main tank once they been hit with cooper. just read about it and find out what system is the best for you. hope that helps

I think a calcium and kalk reactor is a little much for a mixed reef, if anything hook up the kalk reactor through your top off water. If the demand for more calcium is needed than put the reactor on there or dose two part.

During transportation additional life forms may, and will more than likely, die off, increasing the amount of dead organic material present in the sand. All this organic material decomposes in the tank and may give rise to ammonia and the ensuing nitrite. I am not saying what you did is wrong but i have heard that sand goes bad after time and its a good thing to change it.

it all depends on what bulb you want to use go to reefcentral and in the light forum there will be a place were you can see all the plots for bulb ballast combos, I have 400 watt radiums single ended on a pfo hqi ballast and i have had nohing but great results from this, check it out i think that it will help you.

I would check into the PFO ballasts, i have some and they work great.

I just replaced my 3 250watt DE 10000k with 3 400watt SE 20000k radiums, i was wondering if i should cut back my lights or that going from 10-20k it shouldnt matter. PS - The old lights are for sale pm me for info.

that has happen to me before so dont feel bad, it let go and went right into the powerhead. You might want to do a water change after that.
