Seaquaria May 20, 2017 Share May 20, 2017 Hello all, I'm looking for a WAMAS member who has drilling equipment and is willing to teach me how to drill. I have a Mr Chic Aqua 5mm rimless I'm making a refugium with. I would like to drill on the side for overflow and return 1" bulkheads. I have the bulkheads. I would also like to learn by drilling some scrap glass I can bring, or if you're confident in me, just drilling my tank. I know the cheaper drill bits from BRS are disposable after a while, so I'm looking for someone who wouldn't mind let me use one or has a permanent bit. Thank you! freshfins May 20, 2017 Share May 20, 2017 I can help. I'm no expert, but I've drilled several. I have bits and a drill guide.
AlanM May 20, 2017 Share May 20, 2017 Be very careful. 5mm is kind of thin to drill, especially a rimless 5mm. It will crack very easily.
freshfins May 20, 2017 Share May 20, 2017 Right. No guarantees. I broke a 75g on my first attempt.
