Hi all,

I ordered two packs of frozen San Francisco Bay Brand Krill Flat Pack (16 ounces flat pack). I guess I wasn't paying attention because what I really wanted to buy was the Hikari Bio-Pure Ocean Plankton. My fish like the krill but they are to big for most of my fish to eat.

I was thinking of putting it in the blender but I'm afraid it will just make it to liquid that it will not really be useful. Is there anything I can do to make them easier for my fish to eat? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Nelson

So take a sharp knife and VERY carefully cut the frozen cube into bits before defrosting it. This may get it small enough for you to use.

I would not use a blender.  You will get mush for sure, and my guess is that anyone else who cares about making smoothies or milkshakes in the house would come down hard on you for ruining the blender with stinky gross fish food.

I'd do what mari said and use a cutting board and a sharp knife to dice it finer.

Hi all,

I decided not to mess with it. I just watch how much I put in. It's gets eaten by some one over night. It could be the fish, the crabs, the snails or someone else so it's getting consumed.

Thanks for all your replies and advise.
