They turned out to be the coral trying to sting a nearby birds nest. Put tons of slime into the water :(

What's the lens?

It's not a traditional "iPhone lens addition" kind of thing it's just an old telescope lens that I lost the telescope to so I tried taping it to my phone to recreate those nice zoomed in shots that people make of all the tiny stuff in their tanks.
